Joy Yang's Practice
If you get well, it's the Creator that heals you, not me.
If you cannot get well, there are many possible reasons. - by Joy Yang
Words from Joy
There are three levels of treatments:
Level One: treat the symptoms.
Level Two: treat the direct sources that cause the symptoms
Level Three: treat deeper sources--mind/emotions.
In Chinese medicine theory, the original source of every problem is the heart/mind. In other words, if a person has a peaceful or harmonious heart/mind, they are healthy. If there is hate, anger, sadness, or an unhealthy or unpeaceful mind, the person will eventually get sick. Identifying the emotional issue or mental problems is the key for a person to get real recovery. Otherwise, the source is still there, and the healing is just temporary.
To understand my practice, and to get the best results, there are several things to keep in mind:
-
The patient, Joy, and God/Creator have to work together. Just one or two parts are not good enough.
-
The mind and body are one. Listen to your body and feel your body. Please do not ignore it. People use their brains too much to feel their body. The symptoms are just signs that your body is talking to you. It is important to pay more attention to these signs.
-
Human and nature are one. Follow nature's rhythms: sleep before 11pm, sun bathe often, get fresh air, healthy water...
-
Search your heart, do your best to have a peaceful mind, and get rid of emotional pain. A warm and joyful heart is the best medicine!
My practice is based on my personal experiences and healing philosophy. (Please see here)
To me, humans are a part of nature, and cannot be separated from nature. The better a practitioner knows the natural laws, the better treatment results they can obtain for the patient.
First, I will see if there is a deficiency in the basic needs of a patient:
A tree needs sun, water, nature soil, etc. It shouldn’t be twisted like a bonsai or put into a green house. The same is true for humans. Modern buildings are usually enclosed, without fresh air or natural sunshine. Modern transportation also limits chances for people being outside. Like a tree, a person has basic needs from nature, nutrition, emotion, etc.
Second, I will examine a patient's specific problem. Every patient can tell me their problems or just their symptoms. I will analyze them.
Third, I will find out which are symptoms, and which are the root causes of the problems.
Forth, I develop my treatment strategy, not for only treating the symptoms, but the root causes as well.
Most important things in my practice:
1. Healing is an art, and healing each person is like making an art piece. Everyone is different. So, I observe everyone's reaction from each session to make a decision for the next treatment.
2. The knowledge in the brain does not have life; the feelings, passions in the heart have life. I always can feel my patients, so I need the environment of my clinic to be quiet. I also need patients to trust me; without trust, it is hard to achieve good results.
