Every day, students struggle with reaching their full potential and finding their path to fulfillment in life. Even after high school, students often graduate without knowing what they really need to survive and thrive while in college. That is where my program can help students. Through this program, students can understand a diversity of subjects, they can relieve unnecessary chronic stresses that causes health problems, and they can channel the burden of stress into positive, driven academic success that helps them be effective students. The mind and body are two parts of health, and students need to treat their bodies in a way that allows them to be successful. Through this program, they can build self-responsibility through sustainable habits that help them reach their full potential both in and out of academics. Each student can thrive and reach dynamic results when given individualized care and planning. Why wait? Every student has new heights they can reach in their academics and in their life!
Academic Success through the Mind and Body
Geared towards:
-
Students with emotional stresses like PTSD, ADD, OCD, feelings of burnout, etc., that interfere with their coursework
-
Students with physical stresses like headaches, bodily fatigue, muscle tightness around the head and shoulders, etc.
-
Students who just want to do better in their classes, no matter how well they are doing! J
This program is targeted towards results for students, so that they:
-
Get better grades on their exams and coursework
-
Realize their true calling and adapt to a major that best fits them and their internal desires
-
Are more resilient and adapt when emotional stresses interfere with their ability to focus
-
Learn how to work with their body, instead of against it, to maintain good health and energy throughout the school year
-
Learn the principles of education, so that they can study more efficiently and understand the information they are learning instead of memorizing meaningless facts
-
Increase their ability to persist throughout the school year in a position of health
-
No longer suffer from common issues students face, including: headaches, insomnia, frequent urination, low energy, and trouble with concentration
Dr. Yang provides students with the tools they need to succeed through:
-
Lessons teaching a healthy lifestyle through Traditional Chinese Medicine, not limited to: the meridian clock, helpful points on the body, a healthy diet
-
Teachings of various educational study techniques so that students can teach themselves the information they need for class
-
Treating both the mind and body holistically –by helping the mind overcome its difficulties, the body follows. This is done through pulse counseling (a specialized therapy created by Dr. Yang), acupuncture, individualized herbal formulas, and other TCM techniques
-
Interpreting students’ bodies and thoughts so that they can better understand themselves and grow to their full potential!
Several of Dr. Yang’s student patients have already benefited from this program and have seen significant positive results. She customizes every session based on the needs of the student so that they receive the best possible care and can ultimately reach their highest levels of success in their mind, body, and academics.
Case 1: Improve GPA
A student with almost 4 classes fail thought it's because of her ADD with concentration problem. but actually, many ADD kids are smart, they just don't know what their unique ways to process information and prepare for exam/study. So, after talked with her and went through her study materials, I found how she process the information, her weakness and strength, then made a plan for her by guiding her step by step preparing her end of semester exams.
Results: 4 classes were scored 46-48, within two weeks, 3 of them scored 76-79. one still scored 49 because she has a tutor for that class, so I didn't help her with details. Within one month, another class may get A. It's in the processing now.
Case 2: Choose Major
A honor student cannot decide if she needs to choose pre-med major, which was her parents expectation, or communication that is what her passion on. After pulse consultation, she realized her turn passion is communication, and took pre-med classes actually caused lots of stress for her and resulted in many physical problems. Please see her testimony here.
Case 3: Choose Career
A vet student was facing a dilemma situation of choosing her career after graduation. After her analysis very carefully, she decide to choose from two jobs. but both of them have pros and cons, which made her very difficult to make decision. After she talked with Dr. Yang, and her pulse reactions told her actually both jobs would be stressful for her, which her weak immune system would get worse. In another words, in deep of her heart, she doesn't like either of the jobs. After talking, actually, there were another two jobs she crossed out became those she likes. After identify her subconscious mind with pulse reaction, and also consider Dr. yang knows her physical health condition, she found the one best for her. Now, she is on the road now. Please see her testimony here.
Case 4: Stress relief with prioritize problems and difficult family relationships
Lots of students have stress, but don't know how to do with it. This student came with lyme disease with huge stress. After several sessions, I found there were two main causes of her stresses. One was from her family, she was the one the whole family dumped their stresses , which eventually made her immune system getting weaker and weaker from long-term. Another cause is because she didn't know how to prioritize her time. like many students, she wants high GPA, wants to have fun, wants to attend other activities, etc. So, how to arrange her time made her stressful. After analysis with her together about her health situation, her study, and her family relationships, she clearly know her priority is. Also, for big decisions, I still need to help her to analysis the situation. Now, she said she never like this before in her life, and she feels she is a new person now.
